Disability and Life Overview

BrightSpring offers Full-time employees options for life and disability giving you protection when you need it most.

Disability

Short-term disability helps replace a portion of your income for the early period of a disability. Long-term disability takes over after short-term ends. Please review this quick Overview from MetLife and refer to plan certificates for more information.

  • Voluntary Short-term disability of 60% of your weekly base pay up to a maximum of $2,000 weekly.
  • Company provided Long-term disability of 60% of your monthly base pay up to a maximum of $10,000 monthly.

Employees who work in the state of California are covered by the state plan. If you live in a state that requires your employer to offer Short-term disability benefits, your disability will be administered with MetLife. This applies to employees in New York, New Jersey and Hawaii.

Take comfort knowing that your loved ones can be better prepared to meet financial obligations, should something unforeseen happen to you. Basic Life Insurance

You are automatically enrolled in a benefit of one times your annual salary for Basic Term Life Insurance through MetLife.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

This protection is in addition to your Basic Life Insurance coverage and can give you and your family extra financial security should a sudden accident take your life or cause you serious loss or harm.

Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance

You can enroll in additional life and AD&D insurance with MetLife. You can elect up to eight times your annual salary, up to $1.5 million of coverage. Refer to plan certificates for more information.

Dependent coverage options are also available for your
spouse and children:

  • Spouse coverage available in $10,000 increments
  • Children coverage available in $5,000 increments
